Did Passion play this show? God, saw so many good bands during this time period, but One Dead were always so fuckin tight. Great grooves, great band
Yes. ua-cam.com/video/UpaxgaE9LMs/v-deo.html
Popularmmos was wild back then
Another great Dead by 23 release. Forgot how much I liked this.
Love this 7”. Still have the regular version, the b&w tour one & the Halloween one. Great label & era watching from here in the UK
Dimitri < This was the apex of DEP in my opinion. So fucking great.
Yooooo
I just love this. What a great discovery. Thanks timefallsnear.
Rad!
Lucky I saw them with Dimi in Europe late 90's. Calculating just came out then. Sickest live energy you'll ever get to witness + they had a flamethrower on stage with them on one song lmao 🤣 brilliant! Latest news they'll be back with Dimi playing live 25th anniversary Calculating Infinity shows on West Coast this summer. Greg's touring UK solo this month with backing band weird enough. Exciting times holy fuck!!
The first time i saw them was when they open for........(Pennie's drum roll).......Candiria and Meshuggah at Coney Island High in the east village which it think it was like $10 or $15 to get in hahaha!
Don't have this but do you have the Encounter demo? NJHC 90-92 band
I don't but I'll keep an eye out for it.
@@timefallsnear Thanks! Also could u post a download link for the Point of View and Ashes demos?

wish i could've seen them with dimitri before
Right around the time I started listening to them. Memories unlocked 🔓
Damnit, Dillenger is Pig Destroyer if they had nice lives and money, and everyone liked them and said they were doing a talent show.
Man, was just thinking about these guys. Thanks for posting.
Is this TWSC band?
RIP TJ aka the hawk 143
Yessss thank you so much!!
wow!
Awesome shit. I love how awful guitars sounded in the late 90s until about 2004 when the Orange Rockerverb came out. Sure they had the triple rec and the 5150 but Orange changed everything.
You couldn’t be more wrong lmao
Great band - and remember to never drink and drive, guys!
Love that you have some concert flyers
Miss the hardcore sound . I remember shows in Trenton at the garden , heaven house ., and rays pizza bar
feeling 19 again, thank you.
"That's my own theory..."
insane
For a second I thought it was Wes Borland from Limp Bizkit on vocals 😂
Chris warming up with the Candiria drums lines ❤️
That snare drum could kill a man lol
First time I saw these guys in Syracuse NY (around this time, maybe a late 90s Hellfest?) they had a guy on stage feverishly drawing while they played. All of it was very new. This kind of technical hardcore/Metal wasn't a thing. Deadguy was older and a few others like Creation is Crucifixion had maybe started but not like this. It was great.
Everyone is giving props to Chris, Dimitri, and Brian (rightfully so mind you), but Jeff Wood is a fuckin beast!
Jim Fear was a napster mp3 download for me some 20 years ago and i could not believe my ears (along with Gorguts, Atheist, Human Remains, Cephalic Carnage) Long Live Circus Riffs
Shit. I think I found them the same way. Is that that same gorguts that became gorod? I remember the hottest shit back then was Dillinger calculating Infinity, psycroptic sceptre of the ancients, gorod leading visions and pig destroyer.
Gorguts 👍
@@reyntime1950 nah Gorguts was always Gorguts. They were traditional death metal on their 1st 2 albums, and quite good at that, but on their 3rd album "Obscura" they completely lost their minds. Must hear if you haven't. Nothing quite like it.
@@reyntime1950You're thinking of Gorgasm who changed their name to avoid confusion with the US band. The one & only Gorguts from Canada.
Destro's Secret is awesome.
Destros secret kicks so much fucking ass
The thing happens @3:27
Hello, future me. Let me help you out. 18:58
I remember buying a tape from these dudes and chatting with the singer for a bit. My first ( or second ) HC show when I was around 14. Dude was so nice. Seems like a lifetime ago.
Cleopatra's Sling is underrated, such insane drumming
kudos to the guy who did the Mullet Burden scream
Thank God!!! I was dating the guitarist, John Fulton at the time and I lost the tape. I’m so happy!!
Don't forget folks, the coolest moment in music is RIGHT FUCKING NOW. Go get involved.
blah blah blah
Nothing today can touch this.
@@jumpfart666I guarantee there's some band of dudes making music as good as this, but they're unknown playing in some tiny venue
This was truly beautiful. Thanks to the uploader. I shed an oldfart tear
Chris Pennie and Dimitri Minakakis? Best line up for sure
Also Jeff "I got shot in the head and became even awesomer" Wood on bass.
Yeah this lineup and the Miss Machine lineup are the best. I didn't mind Greg coming in, but after Chris Pennie left, they were never as good.
Goddamn. Brian Benoit, Chris Pennie, Dimitri Minikakis... what a fucking time capsule.
Ppl forget how sick Benoit was
I can totally relate to their old singer, now.
what do you mean
@@casperado666 um... he was awesome?
Dude still does the same guitar moves with Suicidal Tendencies today!
My high school teachers daughter is married or "dating" (can't recall which,) to the guitarist lol no lie she would wear a dillinger shirt to school.
